With more than 11 years of experience in the surgical treatment of conditions related to general, digestive, and bariatric surgery, as well as oncologic surgery of the digestive system, I have increasingly focused my practice on abdominal wall surgery, building expertise in the treatment of diastasis and abdominal hernias — from simple cases to the most complex types of advanced abdominal wall reconstruction.
I am a Professor of Surgery at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) and a physician specialized in General Surgery and Digestive System Surgery. I also coordinate the Medical Residency program in General Surgery at HC-UFU.
I completed my specialization at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), where I gained experience in general surgery, video-laparoscopy (a minimally invasive technique using small incisions), and digestive system surgery.
Subsequently, seeking to offer my patients in Uberlândia-MG the most advanced technology for treating abdominal wall conditions, I completed international certification in Robotic Surgery through Intuitive and Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, in São Paulo-SP.
I am a full member of the Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery (CBCD), which reinforces my commitment to ongoing professional development and quality of care.
I currently work in both the public and private healthcare networks in Uberlândia-MG, dedicating myself to patient care and university teaching. I operate at institutions such as Hospital UMC (Uberlândia Medical Center), Hospital Mater Dei Santa Genoveva, Hospital de Clínicas de Uberlândia (HC-UFU), and Hospital e Maternidade Municipal Dr. Odelmo Leão Carneiro.
Whenever possible, I prioritize the most advanced, minimally invasive techniques, such as robotic surgery and video-laparoscopy, aiming to provide my patients with the best possible care and comfort, along with superior outcomes and proper rehabilitation after surgery.
